The year was 2011...

The annual Portland Roadster Show found Cascade Cobras with a popular display. Mike H. and Don N. offered guests a chance to have their pictures taken in their cars.

Donations were collected to support Doernbecher Children’s Hospital

John M. received a trophy for his beautiful GTM

Cascade Cobras was invited to attend the Portland Art Museum’s “Cars in the Park” series that featured a different genre of automobiles each Saturday throughout the summer.

Talk about “Princess parking”…

Farra S. brought his Factory Five 33 Hot Rod

The invitation included admission to the classic automobiles on display inside the Museum.

The attending club members enjoyed a relaxing day in the park

Once again some club members attended the weekly Wednesday night Beaches restaurant cruise-in at Portland International Raceway.

The club had a good showing as usual

There was a great turn-out for the summer BBQ held at Bruce and Kathy’s beautiful home in Wilsonville.

Good food, good friends, and good fun… oh, and the weather wasn’t bad either.

The annual Covered Bridge Tour also had a good showing of club members.  Our first stop was at Pioneer Park in Stayton

A stop at the Scio store was in order to pick up lunch supplies

Lunch at the Roaring River County Park

Not part of the “official” Covered Bridge Tour, but definitely a tradition of stopping for a cold one at the Markum Inn.

Mark L. ran his roadster through the Chicane

Dave M. put his GT40 on the track

Farra brought his Spec racer

Bob P. also ran his original (yes it’s a real Shelby Cobra) to warm the oil

This is just a small sample of the activities that the club members enjoyed throughout the 2011 "season".  I hope YOU enjoyed this little stroll down memory lane.
